Newcomer Pathways into Skilled Trades (NPST) is a program designed to support internationally experienced trades people to learn about and begin their licensing process for a regulated skilled trades occupation in Ontario.

NPST will prepare you for the Trade Equivalency Assessment (TEA). We will provide you pre and post arrival supports as you gain the Red Seal or Certificate of Qualifications you need to start working in Ontario.

Services can help you:

Understand the Canadian labour market in your sector
Prepare for and learn how to look for jobs in your field
Learn about foreign credential recognition and licensing processes
Connect to relevant settlement and trade specific programs

Eligibility:

Open to Permanent residents, convention refugees, and protected refugees
Must have work experience outside Canada
Must meet the requirements to be licensed in Ontario
No CLB required
