A Workshop for Newcomer Teens
Join us for an enriching Mental Health First Aid course taught by Registered Psychotherapists designed to empower and educate! Our program will cover essential topics, including:
- Self-care and stress management
- Recognizing and preventing burnout
- Setting healthy boundaries
- Supporting friends in need and active listening skills
- Understanding privacy and confidentiality
- The importance of consent
- Building self-esteem and confidence
- Addressing common mental health diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, and eating disorders
- Recognizing and addressing suicidal thoughts
- Understanding the impact of drugs and self-medication
- Combating bullying, cyberbullying and navigating social media use
- Identifying trusted individuals to talk to
Delivery: Will be delivered online (Google Meet)
Participants will receive a certification upon completion.
