Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessments
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects how people communicate and relate to others. Many individuals on the Autism Spectrum have difficulty with social interaction, communication challenges, and demonstrate restrictive or repetitive interests or actions. Symptoms and their severity vary widely and for each person, the effects are different.
You will get:
JVS Toronto offers assessments that help identify both strengths and challenges, and diagnose ASD in children, adolescents and adults.
How it works:
- JVS Toronto Psychology staff utilize standardized tools to assess social and communication challenges associated with the spectrum of autism.
- An in-depth interview with you, a parent or caregiver, to uncover longstanding patterns of behaviours specific to ASD.
- A review of the assessment results and diagnosis.
- Practical recommendations and referrals to help you or your child move forward.
