Chair
Jeff is a Chartered Accountant and Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. A long-time governance volunteer, Jeff has participated in leadership and committee member capacities with Muki Baum treatment Centres, the Board of Jewish Education and UJA Federation. For JVS Toronto, Jeff is Board Chair, Executive Committee Chair and member of the Finance, Fundraising, Governance and Nominating Committees.
Immediate Past Chair
Susan is a lawyer with a specialization in human resource law having practiced at a major law firms. Susan has worked with private and public sector employers providing advice on employment law, governance structures and the design and funding of pension and benefit arrangements. For JVS Toronto, Susan is Immediate Past Board Chair, Nominating Committee Chair, and member of the Executive, Fundraising, and Governance Committees.
Vice Chair
Jackie brings executive leadership experience from the financial services, telecommunications and airline industries in the private and public sectors. In a volunteer capacity, Jackie has lent her expertise to a variety of financial services and non-profit Boards. Jackie is currently Board Chair of the ART for Cancer Foundation. For JVS Toronto, Jackie is Board Vice Chair and member of the Executive, Governance and Nominating Committees.
Treasurer
Desmond (Des) is a consultant in Crowe Soberman’s Audit & Advisory Group with a portfolio of owner-managed investment companies, distributors, trustees (estates and trusts), manufacturers, professionals and not-for-profit organizations. Currently, Des is a Board member of the Canadian Forum on Civil Justice Board. Previous Board volunteer involvement for Des has included the Parkdale Community Legal Service, the Kidney Foundation of Canada, and for a large Condominium Corporation. For JVS Toronto, Des is Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee and member of the Executive Committee.
Secretary
Avi is the Head, Retail Solutions at D+H, a financial technology firm, responsible for P&L for three lines of business. Previously, Avi has held senior leadership positions in technology and innovation and is a frequent speaker on topics such as innovative culture building, creating a social enterprise, mobile commerce, and the future of the Chief Information Officer. His charitable causes include advisory roles for Canada's Networks of Centres of Excellence, Ted Rogers School of Management MBA and RBC's Social Finance initiative. For JVS Toronto, Avi is the Board Secretary and Governance Committee Chair.
Member at Large
Wayne is Vice President, Client and Partner Development at webTactics, a management consulting firm, responsible for creating partnership opportunities with industry-leading product and service providers. Previously, Wayne built significant experience with two of the world’s largest recruitment advertising and employment marketing and communications companies. He is active in a variety of not-for-profit initiatives related to youth employment, employability and skills training. For JVS Toronto, Wayne is on the Board as Member at Large and a member of the Executive Committee.

Nicole manages a team to develop omni-channel capabilities to improve customer experience for one of Canada’s largest telecommunications companies. Her previous experience includes consultant and advisor to c-suite and business leadership at leading North American companies. She is passionate for women’s empowerment and social change having led a social enterprise dedicated to women’s empowerment and sustainable employment. Nicole’s volunteer involvement includes Accenture’s Global Advisory Board, UJA Federation’s Joshua Institute for Jewish Communal Leadership Future Leaders Program, the Jewish Chamber of Commerce, and UJA Young Leadership. For JVS Toronto, Nicole is a Board Director and member of the Fundraising Committee.

Wendy Glaser is Manager, Human Resources Consulting for the Ontario division at Solertia Consulting Group. With expertise in pay equity compliance, Wendy has worked in several industries spearheading numerous human resources mandates, from employment policies development to organizational restructuring. Wendy is a certified member of the Human Resources Professional Association. For JVS Toronto, Wendy is a Board Director.

Saul is Clinical Director at the Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, a contract gained after retiring after a long career with North York General Hospital where he held several senior leadership positions. His connection to JVS Toronto began when Saul interned at JVS Toronto as a MSW student, and then working after he graduated in the rehabilitation workshop. For JVS Toronto, Saul is a Board Director and member of the Finance Committee.

Erin is a lawyer specializing in labour and employment law at e2r Solutions, providing proactive and holistic human resources solutions to employers. As part of her daily practice, Erin provides advice to a wide variety of private sector and non-for-profit clients in workplace policies, employment contracts, employment standards, human rights, occupational health and safety, employee dismissals, as well as with advising unionized employers in grievance arbitrations, collective bargaining, certification applications, and unfair labour practices. For JVS Toronto, Erin is a Board Director.

Melissa is Director, Legal & Privacy Officer at G Adventures, a sustainable adventure travel company. Melissa’s voluntary passions include The Equality Effect, a Canadian charity that aims to use legal and policy reform to address human rights abuses and the inequality of women and girls in Kenya, Ghana and Malawi. She is also on the Advisory Board, University of Toronto Alpha Alpha chapter of Gamma Phi Beta. For JVS Toronto, Melissa is a Board Director.

Beatrice is a social worker who dedicated her career as a clinician, administrator and educator. She held senior administrative positions at the Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto, for Bridge Training Programs for Internationally Trained Psychologists and Allied Mental Health Professionals and at the Adler Graduate Professional Schools. She also taught internationally trained psychologists and mental health professionals. Beatrice's leadership volunteer experience includes the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and Willow and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. For JVS Toronto, Beatrice is a Board Director, member of the Governance Committee and Career, Education, Psychology Services Strategic Advisory Committee Chair.

Specializing in income tax for owner-managed businesses and professionals, Daniel is Senior Manager in tax practice at BDO. His experience includes involvement in corporate and partnership reorganizations, tax aspects of sale and purchase of businesses, cross-border taxation, estate planning and personal and corporate tax planning, and authored numerous of year-end tax planning articles for the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario. Daniel lends his professional expertise voluntarily supporting the Unionville Home Society and South Muskoka Lakes Community Association. For JVS Toronto, Daniel is Board Director and member of the Finance Committee.

Marvin is a long-standing financial professional having practiced in financial restructuring for both individuals and businesses since 1982. He recently retired as partner with MNP LLP, Canada’s fifth largest accounting, tax and business advisory firm. Marvin is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, CPA Ontario, the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP), and the Ontario Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (OAIRP). His voluntary leadership has supported OAIRP, CAIRP, the Bernard Betel Centre and Jewish Family & Child. For JVS Toronto, Marvin is a Board Director, Pension and Investment Committee Chair and member of the Finance Committee.
